Battling the 2007 Problem

The Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) has lost great deal of credibility since November 2005, through a series of network system problems.  The project to rebuild the TSE system will start full-scale this January, with an operation date scheduled for the second half of 2009.  In what ways has the TSE system changed over the past year? TSE's actions to date will no doubt provide a hint of solutions to all companies which are faced with the 2007 Problem (the start of retirement for the Baby Boom generation in Japan and restructuring that will follow).
