At last, NTT East and NTT West will start their NGN commercial services.  Newly constructed NGN networks will be the backbone that supports many communication services in the future.  Having said that, you need to have some knowledge of its mechanism before you can understand unique NGN services.  Let's look at the NGN infrastructure from the technical viewpoint.
