In-depth Survey of Some 2,300 IT Professionals on Their Salary and Employment Conditions
Average annual salary: ¥5.69 million
Average monthly overtime: More than 48 hours



- Have those IT professionals who are directly involved in system development or operations benefited from the recent economic recovery in Japan?  To find out the answer, Nikkei Computer conducted a large-scale survey of 2,296 IT professionals in November of this year. 
This article reports the results of the survey, focusing on the salary, overtime hours, satisfaction with the company’s personnel assessment system, and intention to change jobs.


- Half of the respondents expressed dissatisfaction with their salary and assessment system

- The working conditions of average IT professionals were highlighted

- 55.8% of system engineers wanted to change jobs- Candid opinions of the respondents were shown in their free-form comments
