The results
of the investment of ¥3 trillion and five years
- With the lofty goal of making Japan the world’s most advanced
IT nation, five years and over ¥3 trillion have been invested in
the e-government project.
The Japanese government has evaluated
the results of that project and given itself a “pass,” but
the general public has not yet felt any real difference in their lives
as a result of the project.
This article examines the future
of the IT industry and the current conditions of e-government in Japan,
