Nikkei BP to become Japan's first magazine publisher with an editorial bureau in BeijingTokyo -- December 2, 2002 -- Nikkei Business Publications has announced that it was granted permission from the Chinese government to station its staff writer in Beijing. Nikkei BP is in fact the first magazine publisher in Japan to be granted this permission. Preparations are underway to open the Nikkei BP Beijing Editorial Bureau in March 2003 where its staff writer will gather information on China's high-tech as well as industry/economy news and trends.
