TOKYO GAME SHOW 2003 Coming on Show

Tokyo -- September 25, 2003 -- Nikkei Business Publications, Inc. will partake in "TOKYO GAME SHOW 2003" as the event's co-organizer. TOKYO GAME SHOW 2003, to be held from September 26 to 28 at Nippon Convention Center, (organizer: Computer Entertainment Supplier's Association) will be built around the theme of "A Playful Spirit Can Change the World." This year, the event will embrace its record-high 111 companies including game software makers and makers of tools for computer gaming software development from not only Japan, but also around the globe -- including Korea, Taiwan and the U.S.

In addition to spurring broadband penetration and increasing mobile phone capability, IT revolution has brought an ever-more diversification to the world of games. Reflecting the boosted needs for online gaming contents, over 70 online gaming titles will be showcased mainly by exhibitors from Korea and Taiwan. Aside from its international front, TOKYO GAME SHOW 2003's new features lie in its line-up of vendors of game software developing tools and middleware vendors, as well as programs targeted at a broader range of audience such as family users and new game users. To be concurrently held with TOKYO GAME SHOW 2003 on September 26, is the "TGS Forum 2003," tailored to suffice the needs of business professionals in the computer entertainment industry. The forum will be composed of keynote speeches and conference sessions to unveil the latest trends of the gaming industry.
