Nikkei BP Advertising Awards 2007 Go to 44 Works of 39 Companies - Takeda Pharmaceutical Wins the Best Advertising Award

Tokyo – February 26, 2007 – Nikkei Business Publications (President & CEO: Seiichi Oteru; Tokyo) announced the winners of “Nikkei BP Advertising Awards 2007.”

 

The Best Advertising Award went to Takeda Pharmaceutical’s advertisement piece, which appeared in Nikkei Medical.  Pieces by Teijin and Y-CUBE - appearing in Nikkei Business and Nikkei Venture, respectively - won the Excellent Advertising Awards.  Also, with strong recommendation from the Ad Awards Screening Committee, special awards were given by the Committee to the pieces by Sankyo Tateyama Aluminium (appearing in Nikkei Architecture) and Murata Manufacturing (appearing in Nikkei Electronics) this year.

 

In addition to these five, 34 companies received section awards, including IBM Japan (Nikkei Computer Award), Asahi Breweries (Nikkei Business Associé Award), and Matsushita Electric Industrial (Nikkei Personal Computing Award).  A total of 44 advertisement pieces of these 39 companies were selected for the awards.

 

Nikkei BP Advertising Awards, established in 1995 and marking the thirteenth this year, aim to contribute to development of advertising in the specialized information fields.  The winners were selected by the Ad Awards Screening Committee (Chairman: Mr. Hotaka Katahira, head of Marunouchi Brand Forum) from the advertisement pieces published in our magazines during the past year.

 

The award presentation ceremony will take place on April 18, at Hotel New Otani (Tokyo).
