English Website NIKKEI REAL ESTATE MARKET REPORT Starts in July

Tokyo – June 12, 2007 – Nikkei Business Publications (President & CEO: Seiichi Oteru; Tokyo) starts on July 1 “NIKKEI REAL ESTATE MARKET REPORT (http://realestate.nikkeibp.co.jp/),” a paid English website covering trends in the Japanese real estate investment market.

Real estate investment business is becoming more and more internationalized every year, and Japan, with the largest market size next to the U.S., is no exception.  With giant companies like Morgan Stanley, GE Real Estate, CapitaLand, and Babcock & Brown starting their investments at a hundreds-of-billions-of-yen scale, and Morley Fund Management, the largest European asset management company, announcing its investment of 590 billion yen in the Japanese market, investment in Japanese real estate has been increasing.

While the interest in the Japanese real estate market is rising, many overseas investors are having difficulties in finding information and market data necessary to develop their strategies.  NIKKEI REAL ESTATE MARKET REPORT will meet the increasing demand for the market information in English from these overseas investors and foreign-affiliated real estate companies in Japan.

Nikkei BP had launched in 2002 a real estate news site in Japanese “Nikkei Real Estate Market Report,” where you can find news and reports unavailable elsewhere, including actual cases of trading, trading prices, yields, and rents.  Based on this experience, NIKKEI REAL ESTATE MARKET REPORT will deliver relevant market news in English to help foreign investors with their investment decisions.  It will also offer a list of trading cases collected throughout the country and analyses on real estate investment / development in major cities in Japan.
